GENERAL INFORMATION

Artwork

Art Specifications: Platform – PC based. Software – Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or EPS (.eps). Vector based Illustrator EPS format preferred. All text in artwork must be converted to curves/outlines.

Art Charges: Non camera-ready art billed at $75 (z) per hour. We will proceed and bill for art charges of $75 (z) or less. For charges over $75 (z), we will call for approval. Email Artwork: Email artwork to art@smartshield.com. Include - purchase order number in subject line, distributor name, contact name and phone number and hard copy of artwork (600 dpi).

Co-op Programs

Contact factory for information and pricing. Co-ops must be pre-approved. Each purchase order must specify co-op program and co-op number. Coupons or special discounts do not apply to co-op orders.

Damage Claims

Claims for damage in transit must be reported to carrier at time of delivery.

Ink Colors

Direct Print
Standard Colors: (See chart on page 14). Available at no charge. PMS Color Match: Add $30 (v) per color per order. Due to variance in inks and materials, we can not guarantee exact color matches. Digital Labels: (See chart on page 14). Other colors, contact factory. Printed Labels: Specify color(s) wanted.

Liability/Warranty

Liability: Sellers liability is limited to credit or replacement of any portion of a shipment and shall in no case exceed the amount charged for goods. Warranty: No warranties are expressed or implied by seller concerning the marketability or suitability of its products for any specific use or purpose.

Order Information

Acknowledgments: We will acknowledge all orders by fax or email. Cancellation Of Orders: If an order is cancelled after production has begun, the customer will be charged for work already completed. If payment has been received, we will refund the difference. Change To Order: All changes must be made in writing. Phone Orders: Will not be accepted. All orders must be in writing. Purchase Orders: Must include product number, description, quantity, pricing, imprint instructions, imprint color(s), event date (if any), shipping instructions, camera-ready artwork and special instructions (if any). Complete distributor information includes ASI/PPAI number, bill to and ship to information, FED TAX ID number (if necessary). Special Occasion Dates: If an order must be received by a specific date, the date must be clearly marked on the Purchase Order as an “In Hands Date”. In addition to the date, you must also include the method of shipment to be used to insure delivery. We can not guarantee delivery after order has left our docks. If date can not be met, we will notify you. Virtual Proof: A virtual proof will be sent via email on all orders. A SIGNED RETURN APPROVAL IS REQUIRED TO PROCEED WITH PRODUCTION OF ORDER. Production time begins when signed proof is returned.

Overruns/Underruns

Due to nature of custom printing, we reserve the right to ship 5% over or under the amount ordered and bill accordingly.

Payment/Terms

Terms: Established customers in good standing are invoiced net 30. New customers and those with delinquent accounts may be required to pre-pay. Accounts over 30 days past due will be charged an accounting fee of 1-1/2% per month on unpaid balance. Credit Cards: We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express as forms of payment. Please provide account number, expiration date and name as it appears on the card.

Pricing/Quotes

Catalog Pricing: Published prices subject to change without notice. Combined Quantity Pricing: Not available. Custom Quotes: As a manufacturer, we are able to modify existing products or create new ones. Call factory for quotes. Exact Quantity: Add $25 (z) per order. Intermediate Quantities: If quantity ordered is between catalog quantities, your order will be billed at the lower quantity price (i.e. if you order 400 pieces, you will be charged the 250-piece price). Large Quantity Pricing: Contact factory for pricing. Pricing From Other Sources: Factory is not liable for incorrect pricing shown in other publications, websites or sources that may be different from our published prices at the time an order is received at our factory. Pricing in this catalog supersedes any previous catalog and is subject to change without prior notification.

Production Time

Standard Production:
Direct Print: 7 to 10 working days after receipt of order and/or approval of artwork for catalog quantities. Printed Labels: 10 to 15 working days after receipt of order and/or approval of artwork for catalog quantities.
Rush Orders:
Direct Print / Printed Labels: Contact factory.

Return Policy

Contact factory for return authorization, instructions and possible restocking charge. Only SmartShield branded products and defective print jobs will be considered for return. If approved, a faxed copy of the bill of lading or a tracking number is required. Unauthorized returns will be refused and sent back to sender. Product can not be returned after 30 days.

Right To Promotion

Unless specified in writing at time order is placed, we reserve the right to use any item we produce for display and promotion.

Samples

Distributor Self Promotions: End column pricing less 10% for catalog quantity orders only. Imprint must contain promotional product distributor information (Special pricing available only on DP-Direct Print Products). Random Samples: Requests must be made via fax or email. One sample per item is available upon request at no charge when you provide your ASI/PPAI number along with your UPS shipper number. Additional samples may be purchased via credit card.

Set-Up Charges

Set-up charges vary. Refer to each individual product page.

Shipping

Drop Shipments: $10 (z) for each additional address location. FOB: Dallas, TX / Miami, FL / Saukville, WI. Method: All orders will be shipped FOB our factories via UPS. When it is necessary to ship via truck line, factory will use the most cost effective carrier, unless otherwise specified on purchase order. All shipping charges will be billed and added to invoice. Ship To Address: Orders will be shipped to address on purchase order, unless otherwise specified.

Trademarks & Copyrights

It is assumed by factory that artwork submitted for printing is being used in full compliance with all applicable laws regarding its usage. Customer agrees to assume any liability resulting from claims against us for service marks, infringements of trademarks, copyrights, patents and personal rights.
